Defence and naval applications

BLUNOX A/S is a global specialist in SCR emission control solutions for defence and naval applications, delivering advanced NOx reduction technology for military vessels and mission-critical platforms.

We design and manufacture BLUNOX® Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems based on our patented Digital Airless Multipoint Technology, enabling compact, robust and highly reliable emission control without the need for compressed air.

BLUNOX naval SCR systems are engineered to perform under the most demanding operational conditions, including variable engine loads, restricted installation space and strict reliability requirements typical for naval fleets and defence vessels. Our solutions achieve up to ~97% NOx reduction and support compliance with international emissions regulations such as IMO Tier III, while maintaining low energy consumption and simplified system architecture.

With extensive experience in retrofit of existing naval engines and platforms, as well as integration into new builds, BLUNOX supports navies, defence contractors and system integrators worldwide. BLUNOX SCR solutions are suitable for surface combatants, auxiliary naval vessels and offshore defence installations, where durability, operational flexibility and long-term support are critical.
